BLUE CRUISE
Blue Voyage is a yachting tour, cruising along Turkey's Aegean and Mediterranean
coasts. There is a flexible choice of itineraries since tours can start from
Bodrum - Marmaris - Datca - Fethiye - Gocek - Kas and Antalya. An ideal way to
explore Turkey's unspoiled south west coast line, with its rocky peninsulas,
sandy coves and islands. It is an area rich in historic remains, many of them on
the coast (even under the sea). Yachting specializes in Gulet charter on our
ever-expanding fleet of comfortable, wide beam vessels which are fully crewed by
experienced staff and offer expert sailors and novices alike the opportunity to
relax and enjoy the unspoiled coastline visiting fertile coves and secluded bays
the only way possible by yacht vacation. Turkey is a treasure chest of coves,
inlets, bays and beaches from which yachters can choose a different and always
private anchorage each night.
The sailing paradise of Turkey is home of the Blue Voyage. This idyllic cruise
means sailing with the nature. It means also experiencing the history of human
being from the sea rather than from land; a journey which carries you to the
private beach of Cleopatra, the eternal fires of Mt. Olympos and Myra the
archaeological remains of ancient civilizations. For the lovers of the active
life, sailing in the clear waters provides the opportunity of Swimming,
Snorkeling Fishing, Canoing, Parasailing, Banana, Skiing, Surfing and Diving.
Sailing in Turkey also allows you to experience a thruly enriching cultural
exchange with the hospitable and gracious people of the coastal villages and
towns. The tempered winds which generally blow from the west and northwest make
the long summers ideal for the yachting and seem encourage an appreciation of
nature. From some of the turquoise coast's unspoiled and sheltered bays, you can
see mountain peaks rising to almost 3000 meters above sea level. Fortunately,
modern facilities and comfort have not developed in Turkey at the expense of
ancient hospitality and slower pace of life.
A gulet is a yacht typically built of pine wood and styled with pointed fore and
round aft. Traditionally they have been built in Marmaris and Bodrum area in
Turkey and hence are referred to as "Bodrum-type" yachts or " Gulettes";
sometimes also referred to as 'Caiques'. Each one is equipped with one or two
masts but of the weight, they are in fact more suitable for cruising than for
sailing. They have superior seagoing quality are very comfortable, offering
large living areas, wide sun decks, spacious cabins, WC/ showers and a sun aft
deck furnished lounge area.
A gulet is a traditional handmade wooden boat equipped with masts. The most
common gulets have 6 to 8 double cabins and so accomodate max.12 to 16
passengers. Unlike cruises on large ocean liners, on a gulet you can explore the
secluded and often deserted bays, coves and islands of the spectacular Turkish
coastline. You will see a hidden Turkey, beautiful beyond belief, and most of it
completely unseen by the average tourist! During the day there are plenty of
chances to swim and snorkel in the clear blue waters or explore the natural and
historical sites along the way. Features of a gulet include an interior
salon/bar area and a fully equipped galley.
We are organizing it possible for you enjoy a further adventure, sailing on one
of the delightful purpose - built yachts called "Gulet" and to enjoy the sun,
sea and beautiful coastline and to experience some undiscovered natural wonders
this country offers.
